Wet resin filament winding is an automatic fiber winding process that runs composite fibers down into and up out of a resin bath. The fibers are drawn through the bath and the resin-impregnated fibers are then wound on a mandrel. Cylindrical, conical and spherical composite products are produced with this process. DeSantis Mechatronics’ meter-mix dispense systems provide continuous, on-ratio, air-free, metered and mixed resin to the filament winding bath. Options include a liquid level sensor on the bath and various data acquisition packages.
